You can browse the catalogue without an account. Camera access is requested only when you start scanning. Barcode photos are decoded in your browser and are not uploaded.

When you contribute

Accounts use Supabase Authentication. Saved products, submissions and reports are associated with your account. Packaging photos are stored privately during moderation; location metadata is removed by re-encoding uploads. Product details may be published after review.

Local storage and cookies

A submission draft is saved in this browser so you can sign in without losing the details. Photos are not included in that draft. Authentication uses session cookies. The MVP includes no advertising or analytics trackers.

Your language preference is stored in a functional cookie for one year.

Before public launch

This development notice describes the implemented data flows. The public operator must publish its identity, contact details, retention periods, deletion request process and applicable privacy policy before accepting real accounts.
